Snowsport HD Winch Mod

My wireless winch modification for my Snowsport HD Plow.

It has a Sportsman's guide 3k atv winch. Robot Units 40mm structural aluminum extrusion with 4 gussets, 2 in corners, 2 on main plate(plate also bolted on the other side). Some eyelets are mounted on the blade, a roller from a conveyer is on top and it's connected with some lifting cables. It works great.

It is built it tall enough so I can see the cable as it lifts. Once I mark the cable, I'll know when to stop lifting from inside the warmth of the truck.

This modification didn't alter the plow other than the eyelets on the blade. I can remove the winch and frame in about 20 seconds. I won't travel any distance with the winch holding up the plow but for doing my drive and right around my area, it's plenty.

The roller on top has a rod over top of it so that winch cable can't come off.

The verticals are drilled through and there's a relief milled out so that the roll pin in the retaining pin can flip in the proper direction to lock in place.
