Hazel much preferred her ejacket over the ecollar. It allows her arms to move freely so she can easily feed herself and exercise. The jacket was to keep her away from a chest wound so that it could safely heal.

There's no way this came from Denise! She would never make something so dangerous to a glider. This is a cheap, poorly made copy of Denise's ejacket. Possom2007 is apparently claiming to be the original inventor. He is most certainly not!

  • I'm sorry but this is a very poorly made substitue from an ejacket designed and developed two yrs years ago by Denise (Minkasmom on glidercentral. net). The other comments are correct. This glider needs a flexible fabric and the loose threads should be removed. Denim should not be used for anything used for gliders, as the threads aren't tight enough to keep their nails from catching. Please get a proper ejacket instead of stealing Denise's idea as your own. Yours is NOT safe.

  • Sorry but DOES NOT LOOK SAFE!!! You ALWAYS have to hide the thread seams! DUH!

  • Aw... The poor girl. What happened to her chest? She doesn't look uncomfortable or anything... She just looks like she has a bright video camera light in her eyes :P

  • I also have some concerns, rewatching this, about some loose threads I think I'm seeing. Rule one of making pouches is 'no loose threads as glider can tangle its feet in them'. I should think that it would be MUCH safer to make sure there weren't any loose threads?

  • She looks absolutely panic stricken. It strikes me as a bad idea to make an e-jacket out of an inflexible material. I regularly have to bandage my chest (long story) and if the bandages aren't flexible enough, they slide when I exhale, irritating my skin, and they make it hard to inhale. I'm very worried that you may be further irritating her chest wound with this inflexible contraption.

  • good luck. be careful, an animal has no idea that youre trying to help, and an animal that relys on bonding like a sugar glider can end up resenting you. be careful, and again good luck

  • OMG! That e-jacket didn't come from Denise, did it? Looks very unsafe in my opinion. :( You should try contacting Denise, Minkasmom on the glider forums, she makes a very safe and wonderful e-jacket. =D Just thinking about your babies safety, which I know is important to you.

  • she looks like she should be in the lion king

  • that is such a good and thoughtful idea to keep your snuggie safe
