Here is A new rare treat for you all. I found some of my dads old home movies films of Disneyland in Anaheim California from christmas 1974. The footage has shots of the Rainbow Ridge Mine train ride and also lots of clips of the Christmas Parade with Chip and Dale driving The Herbie Love Bug Volkswagen . These shots were filmed on Super 8mm silent movie film. I dubbed in all the music. Enjoy this rare find from Hbvideos Cooldisneylandvideos

  • I believe that's the Herbie that was onced owned by Dean Jones, but now owned by Hugh Chitwood! Nice to see a Herbie in a Christmas parade!

  • @redonejs53 Yes he did own it, My cousion saw it once at his house when he was working securty there in the 1990s.

  • Thanks for sharing this video. It gave this Disney fan a big smile. It seems that you must have as extensive Disneyland soundtrack collection as I do!

  • @kkuechler Yes I have about 20 differnet Disneyland cds. Also I have more footage from disneyland my dad filmed in the late 1970s and early 1980s. When I find them I will post.

  • This must be from at least 1973. I see Toby the Turtle (from "Robin Hood") in the parade.

  • @Kartoonkid95 I belive this is fall 1974

  • Hi i made a vid of Mine Train Thru' Natures Wonderland (Mine Train) and it's on my youtube channel if u would like to check it out.

  • @victorbrunswick awww that's so sad to hear. I'm guessing you still have that phobia. oh just an alert like 93% of those cactuses on Mine Train were fake. In fact some are still there at DL on Big Thunder and the rest are in D.W on Big thunder there. It sure is sad to see a good classic family ride gutted out for Big Thunder... but at least they left little reminders of what was once there. I made a vid of Mine train and it's on my youtube channel if u would like to check it out.

  • 5:54 Did that crab just flip us off???

  • I remember how the Mine Train ride was one of my least favorite rides because I have a major cactus phobia and the (albeit fake) cactus in the Living Desert portion of the ride used to freak me out that I would always shut my eyes whenever the train passed through there.

  • OMG this makes me wonder what happened to the 8mm footage my parents took of Disneyland about the same time. I remember that dad had caught a big part of that parade on it, With lots of the dog catcher. Thank you so much for sharing now I have to ask my parents if they still have those 8mm movies.

  • Great video. Thanks

  • Riverbelle Terrace for those pancakes!

  • Loved it, such great video. Amazing music
