This video demonstrates the proper way to flare a canopy. Notice the jumper is relaxed and always finishes the flare just above the ground. Always consult an instructor before attemping any new skydiving activities or diciplines.

  • Love my Spectre 190!

  • This is a great video demonstrating a proper Spectre flare. 7 cells are quite different and while the Spectre is a forgiving canopy, the jumper drops in faster, requiring a progressive flare technique. Good stuff, good landings! BS.

  • I thought it looked like Eloy....good stuff!

  • I agree that's one way to do it, however I feel for the novice jumper, the canopy should first be slowed down with brakes prior to the flare. The proper timing required to flare a spectre from a full drive takes a lot of jumps to perfect. Where the flare from brakes is more forgiving.
