3FM Serious Request in Second Life 2008

Every year in RL a few well known Dutch DJ's lock themselves in a Glass House on a marketplace in a Dutch city to raise money for a good cause. This year the money will be collected for the many millions of refugees who are assisted by the Red Cross

Because the many disasters and conflicts around the world increase in size and number, so does the number of refugees. The result: 36 million refugees worldwide. Without help, they have no food, no roof over their head, no access to water or medical care.

Last year, Evely Lane had the idea of also using Second Life to raise money for charity. This year she again has taken the lead and the creative concept in order to collect money for the 36 million refugees worldwide. At several locations in Second Life you can find a virtual glass house, where the inworld DJs do their best to get the L$ rolling. The DJ management is again provided by Flappie Bailey. DX Exchange created donation signs for the project so you can see on all locations how many L$ have been donated. Come along between 19 and Dec. 23 and grab deep into the virtual purse for all those refugees to assist that do not have the conveniences we take for granted.
