it can be done with two mirrors too

I feel the same way. There is something amazing about the Golden Ratio that is difficult to comprehend, but I am sure it has to do with more than what we are exposed to here in this world.

Mesmerizing. How do you do it?

I take it as a compliment! I've always thought of being a teacher, perhaps it'll be a second or third career down the road

This is fascinating stuff. I'm going to show this to my middle school students as an example of natural inquiry.

Awesome. =) When I did my video on this I thought they were Fibonacci spiral patterns...you just confirmed it =) Can you give an explanation as to why this happens?

at first i thought that the angle at which the camera was held relative to the tv determined the curvature of the spiral, however, the spiral always enters at the same kind of curvature, so I can't give an explanation on why it seemingly makes a fibonacci spiral effect each time. this spiral exists in so many places and things around us which what makes it fascinating for me

This is an excellent effect, I think before Swen disappears we'll have to recreate this on my TV and follow up.
