@danke1217: That movement starts in the master shot and continues into the medium shot (note the edit at 1:18), meaning it was filmed exactly the same way at least twice. So it must have been planned that way.
I especially liked the moment when RH straddles the slide at 1:18 and Marc Platt pulls her back. Was that a mistake which was left in or what? AND how often to you see a movie goddess in a position quite like that? Rita is also very good with the props she uses and the number seems like it was "fun" and "spontaneous" and not over produced to remove every little flaw. Many thanx for the posting.
This is really a great number, and far better than a lot of the better known fantasy numbers the Freed unit was churning out at MGM. The peerless Rita is accompanied by Marc Platt and Virginia Hunter, with choreography by Jack Cole. Anita Ellis provides the vocals.
Wow, you can clearly see through her top at 3:11-3:23! I have this on DVD and it is even more clear! I wonder how that made it past the censors?
