  • where can I get a 4 xl t like you were wearing in this vid???? I am 6'4" 320lb

your vids rock and I would love to represent the Pathfinder school...............

  • Have more on Order will try to get a 4XL.

  • What other types of wood could you substitute for willow for making one of these?

  • Buckeye is good as well, ant tree with pliable shoots and strong bark. You will have to research/experiment for your area-Cattail is good for baskets as well.

  • Hi Dave......how about making yourself a ARROW QUIVER. thanks for the lesson as always.

  • An arrow quiver is made the same way on a larger scale. I actually have 2 Basket quivers.

  • Very interesting and informative. Thanks for taking the time to do this video. Since I have an abundance of cattail in my area, I'd like to try this with it.

  • Great video Dave, Thanks!

  • well done.

  • Thanks for the vid.

  • Really well presented, thanx! My son thinks weaving is too girly, this vid will show him :)

Also, need to tidy up basket at top, I couldn't possibly leave bits poking out like that... Will hunt out your other vids to c how it's done. Cheers AJ in UK

  • Interesting, but I'm been making baskets for nearly 20 years from natural willow. Willow gathered in the summer and green is not good willow for a basket if you want a good basket that will last. Cut Willows when dormant, in winter B-4 the sap flows in the spring. I store them in a dry place, and then Soak them to make pliabel when weaving. Now I've found you, I need to watch some of your other vids.

  • great vid! I'll definitely try this to the spring! 5/5

  • so, you can make a basket with cordage too...

    I love this stuff...

  • great job man,do u think dogbane will work for a 60lb yew bow? if its thick enough i think it will work, its what the native indians used.

  • how can i get the woos to bin with out brakeing
