For any kids watching, note that the depth is hugely exaggerated.

The Mariana Trench is less than 7 miles at its deepest point. The Earth is approximately 8,000 miles in diameter. The planet is well over 1000X wider than the oceans are deep. That should put things in perspective.

Great video! I just would hate for someone to get the wrong impression.

That isn't to scale. The trenches would not look near that deep compared to the size of the Earth. The deepest known trench is the Mariana Trench, with a maximum known depth of 0.994 km (10,994 ± 40 m) or 6.856 mi (36,069 ± 131 ft).

The diameter of the Earth is around 7,926.41 miles (12,756.32 kilometers), depending on the location measured. Now, if you simply compare 6.856 miles to 7,926.41 miles, you'll see that this video isn't close to accurate. Still an awesome video though. Kudos.

Nice video, however in real scale it would look as smooth as a ping-pong ball

I'm confused, the title says "Japan" but the opening shot is all a fly-over for the Gulf of Mexico?..

Hmm, not sure where there are irrelevant details in my comment, but I guess that's why it didn't get as many thumbs up haha

No he didn't. A pool cue is a long wooden stick. The earth is not stick shaped. Not even slightly.
