This is a demo/test of the XLV turbine helicopter in West Virginia. The helicopter is being manually flown by an RC pilot.

The helicopter has an 8.5 HP turbine jet engine (uses Jet-A fuel) and has an 8-foot diameter rotor disk.

  • hi

I'm going to buy one of these turbine trainers and was wondering what is cheaper to use.

    the PHT4 or the PJW-R?

    Thanks

  • thanks for posting,

that is the smoothest i have seen an XLV fly, the tail control looks great, i flew one of these early types and the tail authrotiy was crap, obviously it was setup poorly by prev owner..

    Really nice flying.

  • Very cool wagon wheel effect on the rotor disk.
