Dragon age 2 High dragon boss [HD] (nightmare)(1/2)

This is me fighting the hardest boss in the new game "Dragon age 2" feel free to ask me question about the game, i will answer : )

Summary of the tactics i used to defeat this boss:

try to keep the boss close to the ramp that you will see im using, make sure to also position ure dpsers close to the ramp to the small platform so that you can get up there fast before the drake adds gets to you. Other than this phase 1 is just tank and spank. (this phase is repeated 4 times)
Once the boss flies up to the platform above and starts to shoot fireballs at you. spread out on the platform so that you dont take AOE damage from the fireballs. Make sure to heal up a dps that gets hit by a fireball quickly with a heal or a potion since fireball 2 shots, atleast my dpsers :P.
Make sure to have your tank covering the ramp so that not to many adds gets past ( i use a tank without any stances on so that i can easily pick them up).
This phase will be repeated 3 times, basicly its rince and repeat except for the extra dragons that spawns then 2nd and 3rd time this phase is active. Counter them by popping dps cooldowns and quickly dpsing them down. Make sure
to pick the dragons up extremely fast, if they get even one hit on one of your dpsers he/she is almost guaranteed to die. (this phase is repeated 3 times)

This boss is extremely hard, make sure to bring shitloads of healing/mana potions.

ur team is really cooardinated its like you know where and when the little dragolins will come and where the dragon shoots its fireball the most. looks like you have practised quite alot before actually making an video of it. i am just guessing XD.

@mahms012 I first came up with this tactic at lvl 16 when i realized it was the only way to beat him at that level without speccing hp on chars. wiped like 3-4 times before i came up with it then i killed him. Came back at lvl 18 and recorded this video though.

I'd love to see a nightmare vid of your base-hp-companions beating the beginning of "legacy" :P (all fights up to the dungeon or even only the beginning dungeon ^^) That'd be truly nightmare and not some random fancy chosen fight - no offense meant.

I hated those nasty charging 'things' and millions of archers everywhere...

What's the point in spending no additional hp on chars? I remember several archer-heavy encounters where your chars would be dead after 2 shots - at least on 'only' hard (or maybe I 'abuse' pause not that often ^^)

Also, Merill in her bloodspecc/aura is a powerhouse, you can have her running like 5-7 auras with base mana, while she has a shitload of HP and reggs HP faster than she can spend on spells. (+items, +friend, +armor etc..)

@Encoreyo22 actually it doesn't matter if your playing DA2 with console or pc u still have to use the pause button or that is how I play in xbox360 so don't dislike consoles, please because there is no reason for that =)

The fight is impressive but why didn't you set up tactics for the team members? At this moment they have 20 tactic slots per person; enough to make them fight almost by themselves.

@Encoreyo22 Console version isn't any different that pc version. Same difficulty, same everything. Played through both. Prefer the pc version for mods though.
