@The1954Willie you said it "Class act" very little of that today..I barely watch NFL, anymore , Zero NBA, unlike the current trend, Ron wasn't an absurdly over paid,self centered,head case, cry baby ! ..tail end of the athletes who played to play the game.

Ron Santo yes I agree he is an insipartion to everyone with the health battles he had and won :D No complaints no whineing, no pay raises, just FAITH :D And he did OVERCOME that health problem, with Hope and Honor! I will miss him so much many laughs, he was always part of a spring and summer no matter where he was. Now thats what I call " reach out and touch someone." Ron Santo was a class act, a gentleman and one of the best 3rd baseman of all time. I feel so sad that he didn't get into the Hall when he was still with us. He earned that. His stats were second only to Brooks Robinson during his era. Thank you for the memories Ron. You were my hero! R.I.P.
