this is country music... country today sound too much like rock... i want to be a country singer when I grow up and i will bring back wat country should sound like... they need to let dolly, reba and loretta lynn hosts the CMA's... the three queens of country and kitty wells also should be the main star... they need to make the decorations the same again and the colors and stage and the sound!!!

@mthivier I loved "Rainbow", but I even I have to admit "Dump The Dude" wasn't exactly a song you'd expect one of the greatest singer songwriters to put out on an album!

@ILOVEMYDOLLY Oddly, Dolly hasn't hosted the CMA or ACM awards very much. I am totally OK with her just making a movie with Queen Latifah! Can't wait for Joyful Noise to hit theaters later this year!

She had just finished filming "Steel Magnolias" and was working on her "White Limozeen" album. She was at her most down and out point of the 1980's. "Rhinestone" flopped and her multi million dollar TV variety show for ABC had tanked! Hosting this special was the beginning of a turn around in her career. Next came a Bob Hope Christmas Special, followed by "Saturday Night Live", a TV special with Kenny & Willie and of course a hit movie and CD.
