Ingrid Calame: Traces of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Trailer
Now through March 16, 2008
Commissioned by the IMA, Los Angeles-based artist Ingird Calame and a twelve-person team spent a week tracing The Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home to the internationally renowned Indianapolis 500 and the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard. Over the course of a year, Calame developed large-scale paintings based on those initial tracings. This exhibition marks the first time that all of the artist's work in this series has been exhibited in one venue.
