Today we're plugged into the SolidGold Surf Rider Reverb, a spring reverb simulator that captures some very authentic 60's Surf tones in a compact package. The Surf Rider has a few more controls on it's face than many of it's contemporaries, giving it an extra measure of flexibility over the competition. A tone knob allows the player to dial in a darker tone similar to many smaller tube amps, or a brighter, splashier 60's sound. The length of your simulated reverb pan can also be set using the Resonance control, while Level and Depth knobs tweak overall mix and volume. The SolidGold Surf Rider Reverb's flexibility also means it can do more than just drippy surf. It's also great for adding subtle space and ambience to your tone. Like all SOlidGold FX pedals the SolidGold Surf Rider Reverb is built with superb components, using Neutrik jacks and True Bypass switching.

  • will the pedal run off a boss adapter so to use on my boss bcb-60 pedal board?

  • @RADLADRICK Yes, it uses a standard Boss type 9V adapter. Thanks,

  • @Eldererr "Walk Don't Run" The Ventures recorded it and so did a few more of those surfsploitation bands as well

  • @deadbirdsings The original dry signal is never converted to digital.

  • @solidgoldfx - I'm confused by this comment. This pedal is a digital emulation, right? So then how can the signal path be 100% analogue?

  • That is a SWEET sounding reverb!

  • whats the first song?

  • @fdalkjfdsalkj I think i'll save myself the extra $1275 and go with this.

  • this sounds horrible. sorry, it just doesn't hold a candle to fender '63 reverb unit

  • @driftz0r hello !! thanks man !! i'll see if i can try it !! bye-- long live the reverb !!

  • @bitchboysi I don't think you could do much better than this for a reverb pedal though. I too am a reverb nut and generally will always vouch for Fenders onboard/outboard reverb units. The only pedals I've used that managed to get somewhat close to a close to an authentic springy reverb are The Spring King & Vanamps reverb series. This unit sounds like a good step in the right direction.

  • What was the song at 3:00?!
