This is a more detailed video. We have a local manufacture who is working out the details, I have a few prototypes which work perfect. I will be adding them to my website shortly:-) The 35" mirror is also in the works. They are pretty cool:-)

  • It looks dangerous, if directed in the wrong way.

How do you fix it , for instance, to make a boiler without any dangers?

  • Anytime you heat anything there are cautions that need to be considered. For a boiler, pressure release valve is a must an properly mounting a system in a safe area away from kids, pets and structures is needed.

  • I just checked and you can buy spray on Chrome at auto parts stores here in the USA. That to me seems like a economical alternative. Now I have a project for that old sat dish on my porch that just sits there. I bet this would even work on old farm disks!

  • You can get spray on chrome anywhere. It is only 35% reflective. That means you would need a 4.5' dish to equal this 25" one.

There is a true mirror spray that costs 100 bucks for all 3 cans. covers 5 sq ft.

  • I wonder how something like that would work as a telescope primary mirror.

  • That is a great question. I will be testing it soon. I am sure it will not be a perfect image.... will see. Any telescope concept ideas on how to build from this would be appreciated. I have some leads but input is WELCOME.

    Thank you for the comment:-)

  • Only you can prevent mirror fires. >.>

  • @GREENPOWERSCIENCE hahah just found you on ebay sellin mirrors, thats awesome

  • Where do you buy the mirrors?

  • @ZippyCalzeLunghe Plus anything outside of the focal point will not be harmed, for instance if your house was 10 feet away and the focal point is 18 inches, your house will not be burnt.

  • we have seen many times that you are burning a wooden bar by your mirror. but you are not showing us the way you have made it. would you like to or it is a trade secret? please inform honestly.

  • i need about 3 of these...

  • For an optical instrument I would highly recommend having the mirror professionally coated.

  • I would assume the parabolic surface is created by grinding as you would any mirror blank for a telescope objective. Additionally the reflective coating is probably by the standard process use with telescopic mirrors.

  • I was wondering the same thing.
