O'er The Drum

A small video I found way down deep in the Glory Hole' of the world , taken on 14/04/1993 spanning over parts of the once tall scheme of Drumchapel, and check the guy at the park with a perm! , he thinks he's just been captured by the social!! :) anyway enjoy this short look back at the good ol' dayz!

The four storey blocks remind me of a similar development in Woodhouse in Whitehaven, great views over the rest of the town, but in the last 10 years the flats were around they were a dumping ground for the unemployable and drug addicts. What were decent flats in the fifties became a complete dump and the council decided to demolish them as they were hard to let with damp and insect infestations and bad tenants.

wow. i grew up in easterhouse when it was just like this. big desolate horrible housing schemes. this one is massive. excellent vantage point. good video.
