  • You should read the rest of the comments before you post. Might save you looking like a twat. The problem was the rx not gelling with the CP, fixed by installing a servo buffer. Start a working one of these up inside and the servos will stay still until you move it or hold your hand in front of the sensor to simulate the horizon.

  • And stop using that old fm we're in a 2.4 world now. Good you got it sorted out :)

  • @jcer93705 Yea I wish I could go to 2.4 but I have a bunch of FPV gear tying up that channel(s). At least there is stuff all others to compete with for channel space down here.

  • @ajc162

I know someone that wont go to 2.4ghz because they have fpv which run on 2.4. The thing is 2.4 is already mature and alot of people u see now at ircha and other rc airshow are using it but since u have fpv system then fm is alright for mean time. I fly helicopters, i do not want one single glitch one little glitch will cost u over 1000 dollars if you hit good, any large helicopter will munch it hard. Anyways i understand you and by the way most club baning fm radios now.

  • @jcer93705 I hear you. It makes me nervous alright. I fly heli too using FPV to do AP. I have tried 2.4 tx and 2.4 vid and it glitched the vid something awful. I figure if the vid glitches its all over. At lease if the tx glitches but the vid is fine I may be able to find the pieces. What I probably should do is go 1.3ghz for the vid and 2.4 for the control but after three years of glitch free FM i gotta weigh up the costs. Only one club here (10 members).

  • I have one I installed. Try to recalibrate it. Also check the sensitivity, it may be set too high.

  • @sddaniel7 Thanks, Its all sorted now. The problem was fixed by installing a servo buffer on the elevator channel. Now it works great.

  • Youre surprised it is confused? Youre indoors, the copilot has no clue where the horizon is.

  • @jcer93705 I use a RCV922 cam, 500mw vid tx and diversity rx both immersion RC and fat sharks. I have to cram it all on a 450 so I run an extension lead on the tx to keep the cg and get the antenna right out the tail, that seems to make all the difference on mine. I also run a head tracker but only on the plane. Copilot is easy to program but it can be bit hit and miss with reliability. I keep it on the plane and run a helicommand on the heli as a panic switch. Its also great for landing in FPV

  • @ajc162

Let see, i don't think i ever had a glitch with an fm radio, oh wait i had a am radio from futaba on the 90's and it did glitch. But it was am. What type of first person view system you're using? I'm getting a fma copilot this friday when i get paid i will be using on my trex 600 with futaba 8fg so how hard was it to program the damn copilot?
