Hurricane Ike - Friendswood/Clear Lake

Day 2 after Hurricane Ike hit the Houston Galveston Area. Shots include the Friendswood/Clear Lake area and some of the damage. Power is out and most of the shots are from my car, so, please excuse how shaky they are.

Several signs and posts have been uprooted, most traffic lights have some damage, Apartments have lost some walls, many large trees have been uprooted. Take this as a note, do not try to ride out a hurricane as I did, leave town. It is not worth it.

Yeah, great vid, I have mixed concerns about why you felt compelled to drive around documenting all the damage over such a wide area where we all live. How long did you spend in line waiting for $4 a gallon gas that you wasted gawking at other peoples messes and misery? I'm sure your intentions were good, but really, dude, you could have been helping your nieghbors by actually clearing some of the debris, especially for the elderly neighbors in your own area. Lots more constructive things to do.

I Live In Nassau bay And That Sailboat Whos Been Washed Up Shore Was there MONTHS After Lol. I Live On Leeward Ln. and Then I Remember Going There Like A Couple Of Months After The Hurricane. And Seeing Piles And Piles of Debree :(

yep I grew up in Clear Lake, thank god I live in Wichita Falls now, don't have to worry about that crap every year and don't miss it one bit, went through all of the mess with the Rita evacuations and rode out Allison in 2000 and Elisha a long time ago. Rita was what did it for me don't know about you guys but the way they handled that whole thing was bullshit from the word GO. Sorry for what happened to ya'll down there though, that sucks I feel for ya.
