Bicillin Injection Preparation

This is me showing how I prep for my bicillin IM injecton. When I was done I would go for a walk around the block to work the medicine in to the muscle. I would sometimes rub the area as well.

Thank you so much for the great tips. My wife has Lyme disease and I have been giving her injections for 7 weeks, 1 time per week according to our Lyme Specialist here in Connecticut. I was literally taking it out of the fridge and injecting her w/our warming it up or removing air. You are quite brave and generous to share your experience with others. Lyme disease is terrible and the medical communities way of dealing with it is even worse. I wish u the best of luck in ridding yourself of lyme

@smestel Thank you! I felt the best while I was on Bicillin. I did IV rocephin for 18 months after that and I'm still sick. Wish I could go back to feeling like I did on the days of Bicillin. Not sure my butt could handle it ever again though ;)

Another tip. To warm the shot hold underneath the armpit, old military trick. The warmer the shot to body temp the less painful. After shot, heat again and walk for 15 minutes when the pain settles down.
