GT5 is a real racing sim..

RR7 is an arcadey styled racer.

Both are great, but comparing them is like comparing an apple to a slice of cake

I think namco should remake the graphics of this game for the new system, and that's it! No remixes of the music or anything like that, just the graphics that way alot of people can relive this again

Rigde Racer Type 4 is the best RR, nothing has come close to it. I kind wish namco would remake the one.

Enjoy the Ridge Racer Series. Especially 4. Was innovative in style and overall fun. 5 or as uneducated people like to call it V was great. 7 Is ok but lacks the oomph of 4, I also miss my grip type cars as I don't really care for drifting but its a great game. Of course Gran Turismo is not for me as I dislike sims. I get enough driving on a daily basis to come home and do the same thing, lol. But with that comes the fact that Arcade or Sim it all comes down to preference.

@MyRidgeRacer i dislike RR7 because the fact its boring gameplay, nitrous, i hate that.

i think RR4 was more creative.

RR7 is nice with all the new features but aside from the online play single player is lackluster compared to R4 and a million times easier if its not a opus race. R4 had you like said before focused and trying so hard not to hit walls from start to finish.
