From February 2008 until November 2008, the Horniman Museum is holding a major exhibition showcasing a new collection of relatively unknown musical instruments from rural areas of India. The exhibition provides glimpses of the cultural, musical and linguistic diversity of the sub-continent, representing the work of the four main language groups of India (Dravidian, Indo-Aryan, Tibeto-Burman and Austroasiatic).
Film nicely put togeher but would be improved if some information about the instruments being played togeter with accompanying singing and dance where explaned. However not wihtstanding this I'm looking forward to visitng the museum this week end and seeing the exhibits myself.
