@gipperbanana Isn't that the truth? McCartney has so much talent, but now and then he needs that kicks. Not only the event he's talking about, but I think he was inspired by having gotten together with his former bandmates previously to work on a couple of John's demos, the result being two new "Beatles" songs.
Those tracks are NOT truly by The Beatles - but the work seemed to spark Paul's creative inspiration, and he then recorded the fine album Flaming Pie, which includes this classic.
