the asian wizard narrating clearly states that Canon's victories weren't easily counted after a while. 27 is to easy. Summation the camera man couldn't be everywhere and much more slaying took place.

Conan does brutalizes all of his victims though. I sometimes find it much more satisfying when an 8lb sword is used to dismember foes instead of a constant barrage of bullets.

You missed the severed head Conan presents to the crowd during the pit-fight sequence. It's not very obvious in the film, but in the novelization it's a whole small sub-scene involving a female gladiator Conan is reluctant to kill because of his respect towards women.

@phelanjo I've said this before, but it seems like once a person kills over twenty, people seem to generally give up and overestimate from there.
