On April 12, 2011, Irene Zubaida Khan, Immediate Past Secretary-General, Amnesty International, provided her expert insight into what the future of human rights looks like on the global stage, drawing on her vast experience at the helm of Amnesty International over the past decade. The world has changed dramatically over the past several decades, with the fall of Communism, the spread of globalization, and the rise of rights consciousness, as has the opportunities and constraints for promoting a human rights agenda that privileges the dignity and equality of all. This event was sponsored by the Buffalo Human Rights Center.
