@ginouack not actually, he was an alcoholic, the "cure" for everything you said was drugs, but the alcohol really damaged him, he wasn't a drug addict, but sadly he was an alcoholic, anyway at that time AA didn't exist

not actually, when he moved to Paris he started drinking even more and more, the bars in apris were on every corner, and maybe that's the reason why he died

I agree. AA is prison theology. Their bible ends every tale with the alcoholic finding a Christian God, at the end of the bottle. A Jew converts, an atheist converts....it's not hard to see where the pattern follows. Plus, they can be worse that Scientologists. They get into member's personal business and lives with the intention of converting into a Christian. And they take drugs and say they have x amount sobriety. Avoid AA, Jim! hehehe....

I met Alan Ginsberg on an empty 8th Street and 3rd Avenue in the East Village one night a couple of months before he died. He was looking into the window of a book shop. Never would have known he was sick. He had a strong hand-shack. I had just flown into town on my way home and didn't a have piece of paper on me and I had him sign my passport! Still have it.

i like your username--ignore my comments made in unthinking anger feuled by substances and alcohol. i am not personally familiar w/his words and cannot understand my own choice of unwise and unkind thoughts. i regret saying a. ginsberg can go to hell. that's no way to be.

lol! Actually I take no offense at all when you consider that Allen Ginsberg is probably burning in hell as we speak. You know, he was a member of NAMBLA? Very controversial for a man as respected as he is was, might have been a pedophile.
