@rhcolab The cast was what worked for me, and the pacing. Superb direction, as well. Very 'muscular' acting; no sentiment. No, haven't seen Bated. Thx for your thoughts.

This was an updated version of the play. He was still unpleasant, but the rework made the plot device more plausible today.

Also: did you get to see the Bated Breath Theater version?

@WonderWoman200290 aa: It was contextualized quite a bit, but still had Ibsen's sensibilities. The biggest change was in the visual interpretation. The stage notes affected the story a lot.
