Haroon Rashid of Finisher Creative explains why the whole concept of social media ROI is a myth. You can't measure the return on investment for social media just in the same way that you can't measure the ROI of your email, computer, smart phone, receptionist, company t-shirts, company branded pens etc.

To demand the ROI of social media seems ludicrous as we don't demand the ROI of other things (especially those that definitely don't have as much value as social media).
