When the range is a problem, designer should figure out a two wheels towing battery stacks for $400.00 that needs 3 hrs charging and ready for 12 hour trip when connecting with the car. This way, campus facilities can use this kind of cars as shuttle or even as low cost taxi.

I can't believe that the American authorities banned the first and second series of Mercedes' Smart car and allow that on the roads. We in Europe call that a quadricycle and there are high restrictions to its road use. For example, it is not allowed outside the city limits.
