Yup, that is the actual project file rolling. Noise and DPCM = percussion tracks, rest are for melodies (Triangle = "bassline").

I should've begun recording the desktop for these 8-bit covers long time ago... if it makes em any more interesting that is.

PS: ah for fuck sakes I made a mistake with the rhythm guitars in the verse starting at 3:05. Rhythmically it's similar to the one preceding it (until the last four measures) but here the pattern is supposed to be four 16th notes of A# powerchords followed with a monophonic and up-bent B note, not a B+G "chord". It's not a big difference, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist I guess!

    I can't change the way the percussion sounds behave because that channel is monophonic. The snare will cut out anyway if it's followed by another hit.

  • This is great. Thanks for posting. The only suggestion I have is changing the snare.. there are times you mute it right after hitting it and there are times you sustain the wave-form.
