Hi CoasterCloud thanks for the comment. There was the post it on the Sansa player that said no screen. I didn't have a different screen to replace it. So i figured it wasn't going to hurt anything to open it up and at least check the wiring. So I got lucky.

Yes I am a very big tech geek. I think anyone with the internet can go out and find the answers they need. They're out there somewhere. All you have to do is try.
