A video slideshow of Jane Seymour, Queen Consort of England from 1536-1537. Jane was the third and favourite wife of Henry VIII. Jane was known for being a common woman of her time but she had a great capacity to be kind and caring. Jane would bring Henry's first daughter, Mary, back to court and favour, and before she died was attempting to do the same with Henry's second daughter, Elizabeth. Jane would give birth to Edward, her husband's long awaited son, however the complications of birth would be fatal for Jane, she would die two weeks after giving birth.

And yet they call the poor woman Bloody Mary. I could not imagine defending the child of a wicked stepmother who supplanted my own mother for my father's affections.

I can't believe Jane is already gone from, "The Tudors". She should have had more TV Time. Lady Ursula Misseldon is getting more TV time than Jane. What a shame. 5 stars!

Jane was the Queen fit for Henry. She fullfilled her only duty as Queen: to have a son.

well I love david starskey he knows a lot but I will admit that his bio on six wives of henry the eigth focus more on Katherine of aragon and anne boleyn. Catherien Parr he is the third wife he focus more, but the book has more pages of the first two, and I think he could have dedicated more time to anne of cleves, kat howard and jane seymour, I may not like her totally but like the others you cant really judge, without understand why it happened.
