John Hanlon - Lovely Lady. New Zealand music - 1974. Released at the end of 1974 Lovely Lady became a summer hit peaking at Number One for all of January 1975 and spending twenty weeks in the charts. Winning song for 1974 APRA Silver Scroll (Songwriting). Lovely Lady was a self-penned song that John Hanlon entered in the televised 1974 Studio One song contest and it took second place in the Finals. John Hanlon is also well remembered for his earlier hit Damn The Dam.
