Here is a short intro to "Superplexus Vortex", a private commission completed on June 18th, 2009. It is called "Vortex" because from one viewpoint, that's what it looks like!

It is currently on exhibit at the Sonoma Valley Museum, in Sonoma, California: http://svma.org . The show, called, "Intersections: Puzzles As Art", runs until August 16th, 2009. This piece is interactive... come and try it out!

I intend on making four more of this model. If you are interested in acquiring your own "Superplexus Vortex", or any other Giant Superplexus, visit http://superplexus.com .

Thanks for watching... more to come.

  • so basically its impossible cause the creator carnt even finish it

  • Hello theskill123456- It is quite possible, only over time and with dexterity. No one likes a game that is too easy! This vid is a record of the very first 10 to 15 minutes of testing. Competence is developed by understanding the orientation of the plane and speed of the ball. Superplexus Vortex was built for a serious puzzle collector who is used to difficult challenges. The fun part is knowing that there are more skilled players out there than I am. -Michael

  • I just met this guy today in a Willow Glen store in San Jose, CA. This guy is a genius in my opinion and so pleasant down to earth. If you think you'd be interested in the puzzle, you'd really be interest in talking with this guy for 30 minutes or so to get the story behind the story. Excellent work James Packer.

  • Ooh wow! I took his 3-d design class at the Santa Rosa Junior College. Still my favorite class!! Congratulations Teach!
