Take Mel Gibson's Hamlet and compress it into a 30-minute time period.

That is what I am doing for my final English project in high school.

Yes, Hamlet, the greatest play ever written, is now in the hands of an immature high schooler.

The editing is done by me (Asher Refailov), the voices are me and my good friends (Haydn Winston and Brett Forrest) and it is written by me and Haydn Winston.

This is the entire fifth act (about 45 minutes of the film) in a little less than 9 minutes (But that includes the entire fight scene). We muted the audio, added music and dubbed all the voices (which is why Hamlet is basically William Wallace).

Note: We got kinda lazy on this one, which is why there are spots of no audio (remember, this is for school, and this was the night before it was due).

It may help if you have read Hamlet. And if you haven't, you really need to. It is just simply incredible.

OK, this will probably be removed within 3 days, but whatever.

With out further ado, I present you with

  • What is the song during the duel, it was great?

Thank you for it, a brilliant use of Brechtian technique.

  • dont know which duel, so ill post both:

the first one is the techno song from Collateral.

the second one is the music from the Spiderman 3 Trailer (don't know the exact title)

if i may ask you a question, what is the Brechtian technique?

  • @jackass534 I know... I lol'd so hard at that...

  • "every man dies, but not every man really lives."

    LOL!!!!!

  • @mimimirwitch TH director apparently cut him out of the entire movie since he wasn't really needed for the plot. Shakespeare may have simply put him into the play so that there would be someone to take over the throne of Denmark (to tie up all the loose ends)

  • the braveheart ending is hilarious!!! HILARIOUS and PERFECT!

  • this was so hilarious!

when we watched the actual movie in class, my friends and i would just bust out laughing. our teacher looked at us like we were crazy, but whatevs. we loved this. ^^

  • what's the song at 2:11? This is histarical you should do more :D

  • "hehe catch ya later!" lol

  • where's fortinbras?

  • "i don't feel very good" "weee!!"

  • "This is the defining moment of the play. The concluding lines, they have to be incredible...Every man dies, not every man lives." Bloody brilliant, mate.
