I understand your point, but I don't feel like the really tarnish the franchise because they made it very clear this isn't the next mgs. On the other hand I would also like it if they made this game outside of the mgs universe. It doesnt need to be Raiden. So yeah its milking if I put it like that, but to be honest, I'm really intrested in Raidens story in this game, so in a way I also like that they are giving the player another view on the mgs storyline.

@Twestination Yeah I know. I just hated the trailer. It just seems like the series is taking a turn for the worst. It ended brilliantly and now they're milking it with an emo hack and slash game. I feel they are tarnishing the good name of MGS. Granted the game isn't out yet, but I doubt it'll be good based on the trailer.

All fans already know that mgr isnt gonna be the next mgs. Its just part of the same universe. It comes down to the genre you prefer to play. Sidenote: the game isn't released yet.

True.. but Hideo Kojima isn't working on Rising. Platnium games is. That's why the game seems so different than the other MGS games.

It could be a good games, but I have a bad feeling about it.

@videogamejo I actually believe a lot of the beauty of MGS was the amount of feeling he put into such an over-the-top game. There's simply not enough known about the game yet to make a comment like that. I look forward to seeing the MGS universe from a new light - and considering MGS is different from MGR, there is absolutely no need whatsoever to compare the two.

The only reason I said that is because the game looks insanely cheesy and over the top. MGS was never like that. Sure it had wacky characters and supernatural boss battles, but the dialogue and the gameplay looked like a cartoon.

@videogamejo it isn't even out yet and Kojima Productions are writing it... Without Platinum Games there wouldn't be a Revengeance.

I see nothing wrong with it, Raiden wasn't a stealth character in MGS4, more action.
