Matt (Firefighter) showing a new core variation at Snap Fitness 24-7 in Marlton, NJ.

Ab straps and the chair shown on the other side of this piece of equipment do not provide as many benefits as using the dip bar or hanging naturally from a bar.

Begin with knee raises and progress to straight leg raises. Matt was able to perform 4 sets of 20 reps with straight legs so we've progressed to this variation to increase the ...time under tension. Basically that means that each rep takes longer to complete, forcing his body to work harder with less reps.
