Dr. William Stanton graciously offered opening remarks at the 2011 In Concert for Cancer aboard the USS Midway Museum aircraft carrier.
William Stanton, MD, is medical director of the Scripps Cancer Center at Scripps Mercy Hospital's San Diego campus. Board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology, he received a medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Dr. Stanton is a clinical professor of medicine at UCSD and also serves as chief of staff at San Diego Hospice. A general oncologist, he provides care for people with lung, colorectal, prostate, skin, blood and breast cancer, helping them gain access to effective treatment and support resources.
