Chinese medicine consists of two distinct parts: the empirical herbal knowledge, and the abstract medical theories. For a review, please see my two videos explaining each part.
The theory of Yin Yang can be interpreted in many ways. The Chinese term, Yin Yang 陰陽, literally means "dark, bright". It shows the contrasts between two different characteristics existing in our world. In this video, I wish to present a practical interpretation of this theory to help enhance the objectivity and practicality of Chinese medicine.
What do we mean by Yin Yang?
• Yin Yang represents two opposite characteristics existing in this world.
• Yin means: dark, cold, female, night, water, descending, contracting, etc.
• Yang means bright, hot, male, day, fire, ascending, expanding, etc.
• Yin Yang shows that opposing forces can coexist for our benefit.
• Since all opposing things exist in abundance, it seems that they are roughly in balance and harmony for the long term.
• Yin and Yang blend together to produce a natural balance.
• Neither Yin nor Yang can exist alone in nature.
Everyday examples of Yin Yang:
• Regular and smooth changes between day and night.
• The bi-polar properties of magnetism and electricity.
• The bi-polar sexuality in the animal kingdom.
• The natural balance exemplified by Yin Yang makes good sense for us to emulate in our lives.
• In Chinese medicine, prevention is an important feature, which is based on strengthening immunity and achieving balance. There will be no strengthening without Qi, and no balance without Yin Yang.
• Qi and Yin Yang are linked together so that we can achieve prevention.

I got a book wrote from the Dalai Lama and its called The art of happiness...And it talks about controlling your anger but it also says anger can be positive...I dont know why i mentioned this, but i thought it was kind of related to the yin yang...

Just remember everything is a two-edge sword. It all depends on how you view it and how you make use of it. It's all in the mind.
You may say it has something to do with Yin Yang.
