Seared Tuna

2 tuna steaks

2 tablespoons coconut oil

Fresh ground pepper

In a medium-sized skillet, heat oil over medium-high until it melts down and coats the pan. Cover both sides of tuna steaks with fresh ground pepper and place in skillet. Cook 5 to 7 minutes on each side. I like my tuna to be medium rare in the center. If you'd like yours closer to medium, leave it on a little longer. Serve hot.

Spinach Salad

2 cups of fresh spinach

1/3 cup of goat cheese

2 tablespoons sunflower seeds

Favorite light vinaigrette dressing

Wash and dry spinach. Place in a bowl and add goat cheese, sunflower seeds and dressing. Toss lightly. Serve alongside tuna steaks.

  • @Sh4d0w20 Yeah that heat should be cranked up a lot more....overcooked and it looks unappealing

  • Amateur hour

  • For my Taste it was not "rare" enough for a real tuna steak. The heat was too low im sorry ;)

  • No salt?

  • You lost me at goat cheese. Personally I like to pair the tuna with oven baked asperagus.

  • @seerattan

no way. the more the better black pepper is so underutilized.
