  • I was chief photog for 2 years in the early 90's before mgmt went "reporterographer" silly. Canada's Joke for Broadcasting, the call letter acronym.

A semi-hell-hole, but a lot of great broadcasters made stronger working there early in the career.

Speedy Creek was ok, but at that time, half the city was boarded-up due to a tough farming economy. Now, the place is booming, a decent sales team could support a training station again. Wade, I miss your dirty jokes from control!

  • I agree on the fact we could support a broadcast TV station now, but I'm not sure if there really is a demand for local TV in Canada anymore.

  • @DerrickLee2006 Sounds a lot better than what they used 10 years earlier...the musical intro from Joe Jackson's "Steppin' Out"-I BS you not LOL

  • at the Swift Current Museum i transfered the old Tapes from channel 5 and put them on DVD.

  • Yeah, I agree. Give me the BBC any day - clear, reliable, modern and never "Over The Top"

  • Just checked, it is.

  • Lol, love the 70's. 80's, and 90's!

  • Nice hair on the anchor...i think the curl is too small though

    /sarcasm

  • I think the name of the production piece is "Runners of Olympus" by Network Music.

  • Depends where you live. An area like Swift Current, perhaps not - but in say, Edmonton, that demand is still high.

  • Nice music. Shame about the titles.

  • 70's TV with a hint of 90's no offence but I am glad that we have the PAL standard in the UK and Europe and in Aussie land too
