  • Unless we get net neutrality, the Telecom giants will continue to have the right to decide on what content comes through the internet. They will favor their own products.

Their argument comes down to "trust us". Didn't we do that with Wall Street before the meltdown?

  • Markham knows what he is talking about!!! Don't listen to these corporate swine that are trying to fight this! NetCompetition? You have got to be kidding me!! What competition is there when you discriminate certain content over others? I am in IT and I know Scott Cleland is clearly favoring the Telecoms over US! The internet is the only thing left in this country that isn't monopolized YET! Telecoms have Jon McCain fighting for them to keep the FCC from preventing them from descriminating!

  • Watch the google attacks! They are clearly biased towards monopoly of the internet! Telecoms want to control what we see and hear on the internet and Google has been the one that has been fighting for the openness of it so the telecoms discriminate what sites we visit or by putting a favored search engine when you type in an invalid URL (try it!). If you are against Google you are trading away your freedom for corporate control. That sound crazy to you? Then your really naive!

  • Net Neutrality is a first admendment right

  • Google is now "personalizing" results even when users have not logged into its web-dominating search engion by using Private PC Data collected on the sites you visit.

Personalization is an euphemism for a Google-controlled practice that involves tweaking your search results according to your past web history.

You end up getting directions to sites that supports the Google advertising model.

  • Good interview,

but you should put a little space between the two.

    Geez...

  • Thanks for the post!
