There is a time when mixing up the lyrics work well in a live setting but Chris ( note Coldplay is one of the greats and one of my favorite bands ) just seems to ruin the mood for me. It's just my opinion.

Quite the contrary I would say that adding a little flair, such as some unique lyrics, make each performance memorable and special. God forbid that Coldplay start taking their music too seriously, the concerts would be no fun.
