@cozzyk Thanks for answering me in a polite and respectful way - we don't usually get that response! I believe its a very personal decision; not all of us do "want to know" or "take action"; new research shows that a lot of cell changes do rectify themselves, or will never cause a woman a problem in her lifetime. And for some of us, the emotional trauma is not worth it. It just makes me sad to see women talk about how they hate it, feel violated etc. We are adults! Thanks for your response.

@Jojoseahorse Thank you for your comment. Funny how older videos kind of go out of ones mind. I don't hate going but it's not on the top of my list of things to do. I go for medical reasons i.e. perscription I need for another issue is dependent upon my going. Also because those screening do catch cancer which is something one wants to know about and take some sort of action on.

Just wondering, all you ladies who say you "hate" these exams - have you considered not getting them? We have a Yahoo group, Women Against Stirrups, where we believe in keeping ourselves healthy and our bodies private. It can be done :)
