The White House says the $787 billion stimulus measure, passed one year ago, saved about two million jobs and prevented a depression. President Barack Obama marked the first year anniversary of the American Recovery and Investment Act Wednesday saying that while the measure was politically difficult, it was the right thing to do. "We acted because we had a larger responsibility than winning elections.." So he's saying handing out free money was unpopular with the electorate? hmm... Sounds like vote buying if anything- Never mind that Obama debt will in 1.5 yerars will match Bush's in 8 years! Now he is patting himself on the back economically?
