Overprotective (A Jonas Sister Story) Chapter 6

Kayla's P.O.V

I cried for what seemed like forever until I was certain I was out of tears. I slowly sat up and started to calm down. I could hear my brothers talking downstairs below me, but I couldn't hear what they were saying.
After I'd calmed down for a few minutes I walked over to my desk and turned on my computer. When it was up and running I logged into msn [a:n I don't know what you guys call it, but it's basically instant messenger.]

Nobody was online at that moment, so I picked up my guitar and sat down in one of my bean bag chairs. I began to softy strum "Fearless" by Taylor Swift until I heard a noise indicating that someone had signed in.
I saw that Vanessa was online and my heart lifted a bit. Vanessa was Nick's Australian girlfriend and I loved her like a big sister. It was always easy to talk to her about anything.

I double clicked on her screen name and the chat box appeared. I began typing. [a:n Kayla's screen name is KayKay and Vanessa's is AussieGurl ]
KayKay -- Hey Nessie =]
AussieGurl -- Hey Kay!! How are you? I miss you guys so much :(
KayKay -- I miss you to =] I'm not doing so good, I just had I fight with my brothers and I could use some advice :P
AussieGurl -- Oh honey I'm sorry hug. Do you wanna video chat??
I smiled, she always knew what to do. I typed back:
KayKay -- Yeah! That would be really nice :)

I turned on my webcam and then Nessa's pretty face filled my screen.
Vanessa -- "Hey sweetie."
Kayla -- "Hey Nessa. I miss you so much."
Vanessa -- "I miss you to honey. Now tell me what happened. I wanna know if I have to yell at my boyfriend."

I giggled. Like Joe, Ness always seemed to lighten the mood. I told her everything that had happened that afternoon, [a:n I didn't feel like typing it all out again.]
Vanessa -- "Aw Kayla I'm so sorry sweetheart. That does seem weird that Nick would react that way. It's not like him."
Kayla -- "I know and it turns out that he was only mad because Jordon was with me."
Vanessa -- "What?"
Kayla -- "I know, it's doesn't make sense to me either Nessie. It makes me feel like they don't trust me."
She sighed and thought for a minute.
Vanessa -- "Well honey the best advice I can give you, is to talk to Nick and find out why he reacted the way he did. Then go from there."
I nodded, I could see where she was coming from.

Kayla -- "Okay, I will. How do you always know what to do?"
Vanessa -- "I've been there before sweetheart. I know how how it feels."
She smiled at me and I smiled back. I really wished I could hug her right now.
Kayla -- "Well thank you. You really helped."
Vanessa -- "My pleasure gorgeous! What are sisters for?"
I grinned at that. I loved that she called me her sister even though I actually wasn't. It warmed my heart.

Kayla -- "Anyway, I've got to go and do my homework, but before I go, when are you coming to visit me?"
She laughed.
Vanessa -- "When I can sweetie. My school goes on break soon, so I'll see what I can do." [a:n she's in university studying pharmacy.]
Kayla -- "Okay, well I'll talk to you soon. I love you."
Vanessa -- "I love you to Kay and remember, you're brothers do to. No matter what happens."
Kayla -- I'll remember I promise. Bye Ness."
Vanessa -- "Bye Kayla."

I blew her a kiss and she blew me one back. Then I switched off my webcam and went to lie on my bed.
I layed there in silence for a few minutes until I heard my phone chime. I got up and got it out of my bag and saw that I had a text from Bridget.

Bridget -- Hey Kay =] Did u ask ur bros if it's ok 2 come 2 my house 2morrow?
Dang it! With all the drama that went on this afternoon! I had completely forgotten to ask.
Kayla -- I completely 4got! I'm sorry Bridge, there was drama in the Jonas house this afternoon =[
Bridget -- Drama! Spill girl! Spill! R u ok??
Kayla -- I'll tell u 2morrow. I wanna tell u, Cass nd Dyl together. And yes I'm ok. I had a good talk with Vanessa =]
Bridget -- That's good, Nessie always knows what 2 do. Anyway my mum's yelling @ me 2 go nd help with dinner, so I'll c u 2morrow. Luv ya xoxo
Kayla -- Luv u to, infinite x's and o's.

I put my phone down on my bedside table then got up and walked over to my door.
Kayla -- "I know you're there."
I opened the door and saw ???
