Does anyone else think this music is quite similar to the score in the movie "Somewhere In Time", also 1980, also 1912? I guess there was just a revival in this particular era for a brief time then.

@exmusician this was made before robert ballard discovered the wreck of titanic and although there were witness accounts saying it broke in half, people dont usually go by what people claimed happened

This movie is the reason that Clive Cussler would not allow any more of his books to be made into films. He relented with "Sahara" and it blew up in is face again. At least this film has the benefit of John Barry's soundtrack. "Raise the Titanic" is cheesy and badly done, but it definitely sparked my interest in the real ship so I'm glad that I saw it when I was a kid.
