This is a Halo Pinewood derby race car that my son and I designed and built for his 5th Grade Pinewood Derby race. Since there were no drawings or blueprints for a Halo Warthog Pinewood Derby car we designed our own drawings then built the car. The engineering took quite a while. We also researched the best 'winning tips' on the Internet including using Tungsten weights and moly-graphite on the polished wheel axles. The total weight was 4.900 ounces (5 oz max). Jacob won First Place in his class as well as First Place in the entire 5th grade class.
Great! Post a video or some pictures on YouTube. Would like to see it. Did you race ? How did you do??

Thanks. The Tungsten welding rods, sanded/polished axles and moly-graphite are the main ingredients for a successful winning car!
