The long gone but fondly remembered BRIARCLIFF VILLAGE CINEMA in Atlanta Georgia. Located in the Briarcliff Village Shopping Center on Henderson Mill Road. This film was directed by WPBA Cinema Showcase host and Creative Loafing critic JIM WHALEY. The two kids are played by DAVID KOENIGSEKER and CLIFF CARSON. Inspired by the JACK WILD movies PUFNSTUF and OLIVER! Includes an homage to the Death of Nancy. It's a wonderful short KIDS film. A movie for anyone, but especially grammar, elementary and young teen girls and boys.
Originally and at the time this film was made it was a one screen theatre and a big screen at that. Later a wall was constructed right down the middle and it was converted into a twin theatre. It closed in the early 90's. The last films to be shown there was THE ABYSS and DEAD POETS SOCIETY. The films I saw there as a child are countless.
