Containing impeccably restored and colourised footage of The First World War, 14-18: The Noise and The Fury, shows the conflict in incredible detail with narration from Paul Bandey (The Illusionist).

Synopsis:
The First World War, The Great War, is widely referred to as 'the war to end all wars'. A conflict that changed the world forever, it is remembered more often for its brutal killing fields, donkey generals, and seeming futility than its brave, lion-hearted heroes.

There remain many stories untold -- detailing first-hand the sense of loss, treachery and infinite waste. Now, told through astonishing colourised archive footage that is nearly 100 years old, blended with factual accounts from soldiers on the front line, experience The Great War as never before.

Told in intricate detail and concerned with the everyday experiences of the men who sacrificed everything, rather than the headline strategic and political victories, this film uncovers the companionship, hopefulness and deepest anguish of a generation who in the large part, never made it home...
